Danielle Power, Founder and Board President of Angel's Power Ltd., and Danielle House has accomplished many things. At just 21 years old she has overcome abuse and is the inspiration and force behind our organization.
Danielle was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Her parents separated when she was young. Both her parents entered into new relationships and shared custody. When Danielle was seven years old her mother, Lori Power, married. With her new husband she purchased a home and continued to work to support her family. As a bartender, Lori worked nights. On the nights that Danielle was not with her father, she was left in the care of her stepfather who began molesting her. Like all pedophiles, he used intimidation and threats of violence to keep Danielle from speaking up.
The abuse was brought to light by Danielle's stepmother who noticed a change in her behavior. This is where Danielle's recovery should have begun. Unfortunately, that is not what happened.
Once the abuse was known a series of events began that would further the emotionally and psychological damage. Danielle's father was granted sole custody which led to her estrangement from her mother. During this time Danielle began acting out and cutting herself. Lori was suffering with depression . Her home went into foreclosure and her world was crashing down. She focused on justice for Danielle and was instrumental in the capture of the offender who ultimately received a 20 year sentence. Over the next five years the two had little interaction.
Danielle was reunited with her mother at the beginning of her freshman year. Determined to succeed, Danielle maintained a 3.0 GPA and played on the Volleyball, Basketball and Swimming Team. Danielle was now a survivor and she decided she wanted to help other victims and families. Angle's Power Ltd. and Danielle House were born. After high school Danielle moved to California to attend the American Academy of Arts. Lori Power went back to school receiving her B.A in Health and Human Services. As Board President, Danielle commuted to Las Vegas for meetings and directed the staff as needed.
